The Kaintuckeean is the brainchild of Peter Brackney who is actually a native Ohioan. Since the age of six, Peter has called Kentucky home. He is a double alumnus of the University of Kentucky. He practices law in Lexington and lives in Nicholasville with his family.

Peter's law school buddy, Nate Kissel (NRK), is a member of the Centre Mafia which is the reason why he came to Kentucky. After graduating Centre and before law school, Nate was a staff writer at The Oldham Era in LaGrange. He and his wife live in Lexington with their two adorable pugs.
Chris Ertel's expertise on all things Bluegrass proves a tremendous resource for us all and he shares the history and architecture of Kentucky with us. He has restored two homes for himself and consulted on others. Chris is retired from the Kentucky Court of Justice.
Jason Sloan is the Historic Preservation Specialist at The Blue Grass Trust and has a masters degree in American Studies and Historic Preservation from the University of Hawai'i. A newcomer to Kentucky, he and his wife call Lexington's North Martin Luther King Blvd. home.
